MISSOURI MEDIA WAS BORN TIRED AND RAISED LAZY!!!

I have dealt with, been a part of the media and even employed by for 25 plus years.

1. When the MDC release a press release it is regurgitated without any fact checking. Why because cost the media no money to restate.

2. When the MDC release a press release thru the Associated Press each media company pays the AP a fee so it’s bad business practice not to publish something you are already paying for.

But critical thinking the enemy in this case and media is starting to ask questions.

The ice is thawing and cracking under their feet and with people that have wild hogs they have lost the narrative because the FACTS and TRUTH are doing damage in front of them.

Where the PEOPLE OF MISSOURI are losing the battle is the people that don’t have hogs, never seen hog damage and don’t live in the area with hogs. They are Kool Aid Drinkers and nothing will change their mind.

I will be the first to admit I was a Kool Aid Drinker until I was hit in face with shovel and the facts truth tore up my property.

If I could give an American Journalism Award it would be to these few because they stopped just taking the word of the government agency and started asking the CRITICAL THINKING QUESTIONS to both sides of the story.

Just think how bad Journalism is – In the ENTIRE STATE OF MISSOURI ONLY 3 – followed by 1 National, it’s not much but still better than nothing.

Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Feral Hog Task Force will win the media battle because you can’t fight your own money and expect to win.

But they will loose the battle with the wild hogs and the PEOPLE OF MISSOURI will pay that price also.

Koolaid Aid Drinker

Koolaid Aid Drinker. TAUM SAUK STATE PARK IS TRAPPING ONLY FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS. BHWAAAAA.

ROFLMAO SHE JUST GAVE WHY HOGS KILLED BY HUNTERS ARE PART OF THE SOLUTION.

When I ride my bike down my country road or take hikes in Taum Sauk State Park, the grunts of wild hogs is alarming and a female hog will attack to protect her young. My neighbor’s two dogs required over 1000 stitches after trying to take down a sow.

KEEP UP THE TRAPPING MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION you doing a fine job.

The people of Missouri just wrote the truth and has no clue. Got too love facts.

Representative Chris Dinkens is owed an apology. I can't make this stuff up.

WE FOUND INTRODUCTION OF THE WILD PIGS INTO COUNTIES IN MISSOURI WAS POSITIVELY ASSOCIATED WITH DOMESTIC PIG FARMS and the recreational hunting industry

Imagine that when the bottom fell out of hog prices back in the 1990's

2018 Wild Pig Conference - I guess when MDC is writing press release they don't want to upset lobbyist, like the Missouri Pork Producers Association which is part of the Missouri Feral Hog Task Force, so they leave half the sentence out from the research. Instead lets completely blame the individual hunters because they have no money to lobby!

2019 Aaron Jeffries, deputy director of the Missouri Department of Conservation believes that allowing hog hunting encourages the release and spread of hogs rather than eradication.

2015 - QUOTE - Missouri has eliminate two of five identified feral swine populations.

ISTORY WAS MADE IN MISSOURI IN 2015. DID YOU KNOW?

MISSOURI ELIMINATED POPULATION OF FERAL HOGS FROM MISSOURI MUST HAVE MISSED THAT LAST MONTH IN THE 2019 COMMISSION MEETING.

The Missouri Feral Hog Task Force represents numerous stakeholders, many of which provide funds or in-kind support. The goals include: eliminating feral swine in five target areas; reducing then eliminating feral swine populations to protect listed plants and insects; monitoring and testing for disease threats; and preventing establishment of feral swine populations in new areas.

The Wildlife Services program provides assistance through outreach and educational activities such as conducting public meetings and forming local cooperatives with key interagency personnel. Outreach to landowners and land managers in feral swine target areas has facilitated permission to work on more than 850,000 acres and led to collaborative partnerships that have helped eliminate two of five identified feral swine populations.

HOPE IS NOT A STRATEGY, and HOPE IS NOT A TACTIC

HOPE IS NOT A STRATEGY, and HOPE IS NOT A TACTIC,

“HOPING to catch the whole sounder."

1.5 MILLION ACRES IN MISSOURI IS ABOUT PROTECT WILD HOGS FROM HUNTERS ON THE GOVERNMENT

QUOTE "HOPE" to catch the whole sounder. BELOW IS THE FUTURE OF MISSOURI - You will read information like this, with new information, we decided to change direction. With current research, new methods will be used.

WHAT YOU WON'T READ - WE ARE SORRY! WE ARE WRONG!

A PAIR OF WILD HOGS - WHOLE SOUNDER!!

Greg Turnbough, with the Missouri Department of Conservation "FERAL HOG STRIKE TEAM," stands next to a pair of hogs he put down after they were caught in a trap on a farm in rural Washington County on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019.

“Basically, you can do what you want on your own private land,” he said. WHAT YOU WANT! REALLY - TRY DEER OR TURKEY HUNTING OVER CORN IN AN AREA WITH HOGS! See how that turns out!

ROFLMAO Where officials like Meister and MDC’s “feral hog strike team” can make strides is through trapping — not hunting — sounders, or groups, of the hogs. IT'S NOW OFFICIAL - 2 WILD HOGS MAKE A SOUNDER OR A GROUP. PER MDC OFFICIALS!!!!

"If you kill one or two, then that may break the sounder up, and then you’ve got two groups,” said Jeromy Boze, an MDC wildlife crew leader and strike team member, explaining why the agency doesn’t want to allow or encourage hunting.

WHAT HAPPENS YOU YOU ONLY TRAP TWO? and the answers is!

Trapping, though, faces its own challenges. Fail to catch a whole group, and even a couple loose hogs can mean a continued problem — plus they’re smart enough to learn from the experience.

REPRESENTATIVE REMOLE SAYS FERAL HOGS ARE A BIG PROBLEM

https://www.centralmoinfo.com/2019/06/21/representative-remole-says-feral-hogs-are-a-big-problem/

I keep hearing the same thing over and over and over. Tired of it. “We don’t want to put a VALUE on them.” Well guess, what if the Missouri Department of Conservation is MAD because they did not get money for pilot program for feral hogs. THEN VALUE ALREADY EXISIT!!!! But the value only exists for the Government Agencies and Lobbyist.

Here what happen when you put value on wild animals in Missouri without any restrictions – Just read Missouri History.

How do you increase a wild animal’s population – STOP HUNTING!!!!!

The history of Wild Animals in Missouri shows the positive and negative influences humans can have on wild animals.

Missouri Wild Turkey – 1952 Lowest population in Missouri History - Reasons
a. Year-round hunting was allowed,
b. Hunted for food
c. Hunting season Closed to increase population.

Missouri Whitetail Deer - 1925 Lowest population 400 in the state - Reason
a. Unrestricted market hunting
c. Hunted for meat, hides and antlers.
b. Missouri legislature closed the hunting season to increase population.

Missouri Black Bear – 1890’s thought to be eliminated from - Reasons
a. Bear Oil and Hides - No animal could survive that kind of hunting pressure.
b. Still no hunting today, waiting for population to grow.

Missouri Elk – 1865 - Hunted out of existence - Reason
a. Hunted for their meat, hides and antlers.
b. Still no hunting today, waiting for population to grow. What happens when hunters are removed from population controls?

Town and Country, Missouri – 2010 - Whitetail Deer Overpopulation – Solution: No Hunting
a. Trapping and Relocation Used
b. Sharpshooters Used
c. Sterilization Used
d. Local Government can only kill - 2019 budget is $82,822

NOT THE ONLY CITY IN THE United States against hunting which creates overpopulation.
3 years and $4.1 million worth of deer vasectomies on Staten Island’s
Deer vasectomies on Ann Arbor, Michigan

MOUNTIAN LIONS - California – 1990 Mountain Lion Hunting Banned – Only Government can kill.
a. An average of 98 mountain lions have been killed each year with depredation permits – nearly four times the average number of lions killed each year under such permits prior to the ban.

GRAY WOLVES – Placed on the endangered species and no hunting without government permits. Population Explosion - Significant impacts on moose, elk, and deer, reducing some herd sizes by 90% or more in areas with high wolf numbers. Without management authority over wolves, states have been powerless to protect vulnerable wildlife populations. Unmanaged wolves have also had major impacts on livestock producers and family pets.

Grizzly Bears - If a grizzly move in and make its home in the area, the federal U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service must protect it as threatened under the federal Endangered Species Act. Grizzly bears have expanded their range by 34 percent over the last decade. You can find in the United States History example after example when VALUE is places on wild animals.

BISON – 30 Million Bison - North America. Hunted to almost Extinction. Reason
a. Bison skins were used for industrial machine belts, clothing such as robes, and rugs.
1905 a census indicated there were 835 wild bison and 256 bison in captivity at that time.
Game laws allowed the surviving bison to live and multiply to today 350,000

Per my request from the USDA WS, which I have more being addressed. This is the first one. I recommend you bookmark page and keep up with it in the future. In reference to the data we were discussing, I had mentioned that there was some data that our agency publishes each year. These are called Program Data Reports, and are reported on our Fiscal Year (October 1-September 30). Here is the link for the data for all WS take from
October 1, 2017- September 30, 2018.
https://www.aphis.usda.gov/…/sa_repor…/sa_pdrs/PDR-Home-2018
You will notice you can go back and look at previous Fiscal Years as well. You will want to scroll down to PDR G and filter for the state of MO. It will show you all of our take and methods (corral trap, snare, helicopter) for that time period. You might notice that there are some swine that were freed on there as opposed to killed. Those were what we call “judas pigs” which are swine we put a satellite collar on, let them attach to a sounder, and use them to track down that sounder and eliminate them. Just wanted to provide you that explanation as you view these data.
Missouri – USDA WS - 336 Killed by Firearms
212 Killed by Helicopter
8 Killed by Night Vision/Infrared Equipment
4,146 Trapped

I have belong to Conservation Groups for over 35 years. It's a shame how some have acted in Missouri on different issues either unsound backing because of money or the silence over issues because of money. But I have grown to respect the work of Missouri Hunting & Working Dog Alliance even though I don't belong I have seen more effort by them in 6 months than I have 35 years of other Conservation groups. Remember this list in two years because this is a Zero sum game. You want the Congratulations, you also get the blame.

The Mark Twain National Forest will host a second open house in Fredericktown, MO, at the Black River Electric Cooperative. This will be an opportunity for members of the public to learn about the interagency efforts happening to eliminate feral hogs from Missouri, and why it is so important to do so.
Open House information:
Date: June 20 (Thursday), 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Black River Electric Cooperative
2600 US-67
Fredericktown, MO 63645

The Good Bad or Ugly I got to talk to heads of USDA WS I spoke my mind and ask the two hard questions that need answered.

Open House (Fredericktown) - Feral Hog Elimination – June 20th, 2019 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Potential Closing of Mark Twain National Forest of killing hogs by hunters.

I might forget a few things talked with USDA WS only during the meeting.

I start with the two most important question I feel needed an answer.

1. What happens when a weekend deer hunter comes out of the city, buys a tag and goes into Mark Twain National Forest for the first time since last rifle season and shoots a hog and drags it to the truck with a game warden on the road. I agree that it’s up to the hunter to understand the laws been that way for years.
But the way things have been handled in Missouri better be a big public awareness made. a. *****Most important answer given******* If shot on Federal Ground aka Mark Twain National Forest it will be up to the FEDERAL Prosecutor what charges to bring.

2. You are the Federal Government it’s not like you can just flip the switch and change your mind and allow hunting again. So, what if you wrong about closing Mark Twain National Forest and the problem gets worse. b. Well yes Federal Government is full of Red Tape I understand and if we are wrong, we will have to make a change if we are. I will say this much I would rather talk with the USDA WS than I would any leadership with the MDC Feral Hog Task Force. At least some common sense can be used in an open discussion back and forth.

1. The person in the MDC that is telling people, I could hunt my entire property while the USDA WS was using bait on my property during deer season and telling the USDA WS bosses that is a BOLD FACE LIAR. FEEL Free to call me and tell me I am LIAR and for the last time I was told multiple times I could hunt PART of my property. If someone thinks I was told I could hunt over a pile of corn during Deer or Turkey Season is an IDIOT.

2. My conclusion is the MDC is living thru rose color glasses and playing politics and telling half-truths.

3. My conclusion USDA WS and MDC are not on the same page with MDC playing politics for funding and showing progresses to get it. That’s why MDC uses Eradication and USDA uses Elimination. Yes, there is a difference because Elimination can still me few hogs are still on the landscape. So ZERO cannot be obtained.

4. MDC is not happy that they are left out of this last round of funding in Pilot Program. Not sure what Tier 3 is but Missouri is in it. While those states that got funding are Tier 4. “Now MDC understand how landowners fighting feral hogs with their own money feels.” Fate is a bitch ain’t it.

5. I discussed that fact that MDC Deputy Director Alan Jefferies said they have been hunting with trapping for the last 20 years. Not at the level we have done at the last 3 years we both discussed, and I said why not work with the hog doggers wouldn’t you like to have 1,800 plus less hogs to trap. Has anyone with the agency even tried in the last 20 years?

6. Taking hunters out of the equation has never worked. Cougars, Wolves and Bears have all increased because hunters have been removed. Went on to discuss Feral, Invasive and a Wild Animal which Breeds, Eats and Lives wild no matter what stamp you put on a piece of paper.

7. We discussed the 4 ½ months of no trapping on MDC ground during deer season, they do some during bow but none during rifle or turkey season. Why would you want a hunter pass on a pregnant sow?

8. USDA numbers of hogs trapped can be request with the break down.

9. I told them too many chiefs making too many absolute statements like hogs will be eradicated from Missouri, Helicopters are killing the last remain few hogs, We are making progress, We are seeing less damage, We are closing in. All statements made by MDC. Really need a Wild Hog Czar not from the MDC that tells it how it is not some rosy political statement to make them look good or feel good.

10. First time I have been told Sorry that things have turned out how they have. I told him I just one of many landowners that dealing with same issues. I was even told not to report any more hogs on my property or Castor River Conservation Area. Matter of fact guy leaving when I first got there was disappointed no presentation and his neighbor was told he did not have a big enough problem for a trapper.

11. Landowner should be using every tool to kill pigs on their property. I told him about Tennessee rules for landowners and he was familiar with it and we discussed why not do it in Missouri. Where landowners baiting hogs while deer hunting with a permit. The damage the hogs do out ways killing a single deer with single tag over a pile of corn.

12. This came from different source. I have been beating this dead pig from first day. No written guidelines for landowners. Took 200 days before one MDC official told me I could use Thermals. Because the Wildlife Code says I could not. But hogs are not in the wildlife code. Guess what word on the street they are coming.

13. You are going to see more USDA Helicopters shooting hogs this year!

I am sure I forgot something 2 hours of conservation. By the way I saw few people I know sorry I did not say hi, but I had the source I looking for and was not going to let it go till I was done!

Not that it's going to make any difference.

Farmer: Black vultures eating Southern Indiana cattle alive

Also a Missouri Problem

Well Well Well maybe you might want to do a little research. Guess what animals do when they run out of easy food source they go looking for food. Maybe the over 3000 in the first quarter this year left to decay of wild hogs left on the landscape to decay by Missouri Department of Conservation might be causing a problem.

JUNE 18TH, 2019

This is a report from tonight meeting in Salem about the protection of Feral Hogs from hunters Mark Twain National Forest.

Report from the PEOPLE of MISSOURI All my friends going to the Fredricktown Mark Twain meeting beware it's not a meeting it's more of a MDC show of power no verbal comments were taken there was Phelps County Deputies there providing security as well as game wardens and a National Park Service officer in full duty gear it's the biggest waist of time I've experienced.

The Mark Twain personnel that were there confirmed it's not a done deal your comments do matter Blunt and Smith's secretary's both confirmed they are strongly against the closure. Be for warned its gonna aggravate you when you visit the so called meeting or open house

Today is the beginning of the end with the first Government Controlled meeting and agenda.

Today is the day that that Feral Hogs are on the path of become a Federal Protected Species that only the Government can kill on Federal Lands.

Just like the Wolf and the Grizzly in the west another Federal Protected Species that only the Government can kill on Federal Lands. Only difference someone decided they are endangered species.

What do you you think the fine will be? Funny how the media has never asked this question since the ban in 2016!

Class A misdemeanor, - $6,250 fine and confinement to the county jail for one year! Or fine of $7,500 in civil restitution! Killing an animal protected by the federal government on Federal land fine of up to $100,000, one year in jail, or both. Who's knows?

Missouri has proclaimed that Me, You and Hunters are the reason for the Feral Hog Problem!
Who side is the State Government on anymore?
Anti Hunting Groups say that  hunters are a problem!

JUNE 16TH, 2019
3 YEARS AFTER THE BAN
THAT PROTECTS WILD HOGS FROM HUNTERS ON MDC GROUND
PROBLEM IS ONLY WORSE.

MDC Alan Leary - USDA FARM BILL MONEY -
"We do not want money going to the private landowners"

Missouri does not count or even celebrate to the press hogs, killed by private landowners with traps, hunters during Deer or Turkey season, hunters with thermals or Hog Doggers which all these numbers are in the several 1000's of hogs dead yearly in Missouri.

Wouldn't you as state agency be proud of that fact. Not in Missouri! How does Misouri Support Landowners in the fight against Feral Hogs?

They use Taxpayer money to run Advertisement to tell people not to kill them, just Report them.

Meanwhile landowners like this one that caught hogs yesterday have to get Education, Control Techniques, Trapping Demos from sources in other states. Don't worry Missouri this landowner took care of three Sows and two Boars you didn't Eradicate on his dime. By the way he shoots and traps hogs for over 6 years now. Next to Public Land Hog Refuge.

PEOPLE OF MISSOURI - SOLVE THIS PROBLEM
June 15th, 2019

Double the Trouble with Double Cutters
14 rows of corn gone just in this one field alone in one night by one big boar wild hog. It hit multiple fields on Private land. But before it got to the field it went by multiple MDC traps with corn as bait on public land. Farmer had enough, so hunter and dogs took care of problem.  Missouri Lobbyist and Agencies are pushing to make it a FEDERAL CRIME to kill wild hog on 1.5 Million Acres in Missouri!

Just think if Missouri Lobbyist and Agency had their way this DBL CUTTERS WILD HOG BOAR killed by hunter and his dogs last night would still be alive roaming freely in Missouri, as all wild animals in Missouri do. With this not even being the thickest part of shield this ain't no game, even though Jefferson City acts like it is.
MDC QUOTE: JUST ONE BOAR NOT THAT BIG A DEAL!!!

HOG DAMAGE TOUR AND TOWN HALL MEETING
JUNE 6TH, 2019

Chris Dodson Dinkins - On Thursday, I along with some of my colleagues in the House, took a tour of some local farms and the damage that feral hogs have caused. This was truly an eye opening experience for some of my fellow legislators who had never seen any of the damage or know much about feral hogs. After the tour, we returned to the Patterson Community center for a town hall meeting on the issue. Over one hundred people, mostly landowners, showed up to listen and tell their hog horror stories. This is a major problem that we are going to have to address and I do not believe shutting off more public land from hunters, creating a refuge for these hogs, is the answer but will only compound the problem. State land is closed to hunting hogs and now they want to stop them on federal land. Wayne has over 60% state federal land. This creates a refuge.

Joe Loyd, Presiding Commissioner of Reynolds County, speaks to MO Legislators at the Feral Hog Meeting in Patterson, MO about the Feral Hog issue’s facing farmers & landowner’s in Reynolds County and how our Sportsmen/Houndsmen and hunting with dogs is a vital tool in the toolbox towards eliminating feral hogs!

HOG DAMAGE TOUR AND TOWN HALL MEETING
JUNE 6TH, 2019

Holly Rehder - Spent yesterday looking at some of the feral hog damage to our farmers in Wayne County with the House Committee on Conservation and Natural Resources. Many farmers planted more than once, only to have their fields torn up again and again. We ended the day with a delicious feral hog meal and an extremely well attended town hall to hear from others having similar issues. Very much appreciate those with the Missouri Hunting & Working Dog Alliance for putting this tour and town hall together for us! Very informative and we most certainly need to find solutions as soon as possible. All suggestions need to be on the table - hunting, bounty, trapping, etc. - Chris Dinkins, Time Remole, Randy Peitzman, don Mayhew, Paula Brown, Rick Thompson, and Rob Elder.

INFORMATION FOR THE PEOPLE OF MISSOURI

TOWN HALL MEETING just some of the INFORMATION that was available to 135 landowners, multiple media, several national and state representatives on hand - exactly 1,633% more information provided than at the Missouri Feral Hog Task for Trap Demonstration in Poplar Bluff last winter.

Feral Hog Town Hall Meeting
JUNE 6TH, 2019
in Patterson Mo. With State and National Representatives and around 135 landowners on hand with 14 given testimony to the State Representative. Very good meeting.

Man too bad I can't Feral Hog rooting anymore. Stop Reporting, Don't Shoot. 6-13-2019

SHOOT - DON'T REPORT
#SHOOTDONTREPORT

What is important to the Missouri Feral Hog Task Force on Reporting Feral Hogs in Missouri. Ear Tags!!!!! What is this the 1990's. Live hog prices hit rock bottom at 8 cents per pound. Bankruptcies ensued. Some producers opened their pens to set animals free instead of continuing to feed them. In Texas they dont care about ear tags and even share information with public to help kill wild hogs. But not in Missouri.

Did you know 1918 Arkansas. In 1918 when District 7 included all of the southern National Forests extending as far west as Oklahoma, there was an attempt within the Forest Service to make the "grazing business" pay on eastern National Forests as it had for years on western National Forests.
Livestock animals were grazing on all of the National Forests in District 7, The largest was 3,598 on the Ouachita National Forest, Arkansas. The Forest Service grazing regulations required the registration of all livestock owners who used the National Forests for grazing except for the National Forests in Arkansas. There, livestock owners were allowed to graze free and without permit 25 head of cattle, 50 HOGS, or 75 sheep or goats on the condition that the livestock owners assist in fighting forest fires without charge to the government.

Did you know - 1960's As late as the 1960's, one Ranger in the Ozarks who was confiscating loose running hogs in the National Forest, was told by the local sheriff that if he came to town he would
be arrested for hog stealing. He stayed out of town for a while!

Did You Know: 1930's Missouri

A serious problem on the Mark Twain in the early years was forest fires. The Ozark natives had practiced intentional fire setting for generations in the belief that it eliminated insects and pests and cleared out underbrush so cattle and HOGS could feed in the forest. A big job of District Rangers was fighting forest fires during the season and trying to convince the locals that they could not continue setting fires on National Forest lands. 75 The Forest Supervisors and their staffs throughout the 1930's mounted numerous fire prevention programs and the work of the CCC did much to alleviate the problem.

From a Missouri Concerned Citizen: Under Missouri law the owner of any animal, live stock, domestic animal must maintain control and take steps to prevent damage by that animal to neighbors. MDC assumed ownership of hogs in 2016 when they protected hogs from hunters on MDC owned ground. If you or I owned land next to conservation land and we did not fence in our animals they would seek to enforce this law. If MDC wants ownership of hogs then a law suit requiring them to fence in there animals which are damaging our land is lawful and reasonable. This is not unprecedented. In western states they have cattle guards and high fence keeping wild animal off interstates and away from towns
