MISSOURI FERAL HOG - NATIONAL MODEL of FAILURE

This is photographic proof from the PEOPLE OF MISSOURI, that Missouri is the Model of National Failure to eradication or even control of the Feral Hog Population.

Estimated 70,000 Wild Hogs in Missouri at the end of 2019.

The Wild Turkey in Missouri Population is in a Historical 17 years Decline in Missouri - Hunters are encourage to kill 2 Males, and 4 more of either sex, total of 6 in a year.

The Wild Hog Population is in a Historical 25 years population explosion - Hunters are encourage to Report - Don't Shoot.

If this was a Missouri Corporation that was in charge - People would have already lost their jobs or the would have filed to go bankrupt.

But since this is a Missouri Government Agency in control they just keep adding more government agencies and promoting other office people.

November 24, 2019 – Walking in the Dark in Missouri – It’s just matter of time, things won’t turn out as good as they have.

Landowner in Wayne County, Missouri next to MDC Conservation Area.

For over 10 years we had Wild Hog problems.

Just the day before on Saturday while deer hunting killed a big wild hog boar we had photos of.

Never had this happen the problem getting worse.

After deer hunting walking in the dark on logging road headed back to truck. Could hear a noise. Kicked on headlamp and at about 10 steps was a large wild hog sow was standing in front of me. Then a second large wild hog sow stepped from behind tree but at 8 Steps. It was a standoff.

I raised gun and shot the second sow and all hell broke loose.

The 4 to 5 other sows and 15 plus piglets some larger like 40 lbs. and some look just few old, that I could not see that where closer started running and some at me.

I ran a short distance as wild hogs ran by me and made it into tree, but not before breaking my headlamp and you could here the hogs squeal and smack jaws in the dark.

Stayed in tree for about 10 minutes before I could get down, trying to use my light on my phone.

Could have turned out a lot different if I would have run into one of the piglets without seeing the wild hog sow.

Prime Example on how the Missouri Policy of Don't Shoot - Report system is broken and protecting feral hogs on public land is a National Model of Failure:

This Wild Hog Sow had 10 piglets in her waiting to be born - Exactly how not shooting her and waiting on Jefferson City 4th Branch of Government to kill her by trapping or helicopter, helps landowners, wildlife and the habitat?

Remember this they are getting ready to release and pat their selves on the back for hogs killed numbers in Missouri by state and federal agencies. Missouri is a Level 3 Feral Hog State - 10,000 to 100,000 hogs.

Reproduction Rate of 166% per MDC Missouri had 10,000 hogs in 2014 per MDC

Missouri had 20,000 to 30,000 hogs in 2017 per USDA MTNF Forest Report.

70% must of population be killed to keep population from growing.

That means using 2017 population - 14,000 to 21,000 hogs had to be killed 2017

Wild Pigs Removed 6,567 for entire state
2018 Wild Pigs Removed 9,300 for entire state
2019 Wild Pigs Removed 8,000 last report for entire state.

Do those numbers sound like the Self Proclaimed National Model of Feral Hog Eradication.

That's ok we will drive them onto adjacent landowners private property. So Missouri Department of Conservation buying a helicopter to attempt to kill feral hogs. Guess those Helicopters flights will happen at sunset then stop at sun rise. ROFLMAO

I guess they don't care about their own research.

DID YOU KNOW from the Missouri Department of Conservation Feral Hog Research from pages 14 thru 21 in 2009.
Feral Hog Research Project Final Report
Executive Summary

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) began a feral hog research project in 2009 to analyze hog movements, cost efficiency of control efforts, and reproductive characteristics and growth rates of the population.

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - Both the V.I. analysis and centroid distance analysis showed that hogs were least disturbed by trapping activities and most disturbed by aerial gunning with the helicopter.

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - However, the average distance away hogs moved from the site of disturbance by helicopter was approximately 1 km.,

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - In our study, hogs were most active around sunset, with activity declining throughout the night, and least active around sunrise.

So Missouri Department of Conservation is buying a Helicopter to kill how many hogs? 1000's or 10,000's

It took USDA Aphis 4 years to kill 885 hogs with Helicopter in Missouri per Freedom of information act Requests results.

American Roots Outdoors LIVE FEED WITH Missouri Department of Conservation Agent

NO VALUE HOG raises it's head again. The worst thing about this, He trying to do his job and the VERY AGENCY he represents does not even share it's OWN research with their Agents!

What a crying shame! This is not the first time I was in meeting a over year ago with 4 agents in room and local agents wasn't even aware of one of the issues.

Read this then listen to interview. It's not his fault, it's his leaderships fault in Jefferson City.

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) began a feral hog research project in 2009 to analyze hog movements, cost efficiency of control efforts, and reproductive characteristics and growth rates of the population.

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - Because feral hogs are so mobile, managers should not expect that hogs will always be in the same area. Managers have a tendency to think that if one trap is set and baited, that hogs will come to it routinely. However, results from this study show that hog movement patterns are highly unpredictable and suggest that multiple traps should be spread throughout the control area to increase the likelihood of trap success.

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - Both the V.I. analysis and centroid distance analysis showed that hogs were least disturbed by trapping activities and most disturbed by aerial gunning with the helicopter.

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - Generally, our results were similar to others, in that while hunting with dogs and aerial gunning did have some impact on hog movements, those activities did not cause hogs to leave their home range or cause permanent shifts in their activity patterns

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - However, the average distance away hogs moved from the site of disturbance by dogs and the helicopter was approximately 1 km.,

DID YOU KNOW? - 2009 - It is likely that the activity will cause the hog to leave the area, but, in general, the hogs do not go very far and often return to the site after a period of time.

October 27th, 2019 - People of Missouri have a question!

Quote: How do you trap an animal that you can’t bait?

Quote: Have had corn and camera out for two weeks and this hog wouldn’t touch it, caught him in same holler camera was in.

This time it took a dogs and a hunter with boots on the ground.

Quote: People don’t believe me when I tell them there’s probably half the hog population in our area that won’t come to feed.

Examples after, Examples after, Examples people just don’t get it, won’t get, or refuse to understand that you are not going to kill Every hog with Dogs, Every hog with Traps, Every hog with Thermals, or Every hog by daytime hunting.

You have to evolve or die. Different Baits, Different Methods, I had 5 to 6 different hogs on 80 acres that is ¼ mile wide x ½ mile long that would not touch corn spread out on the ground no matter where you put it.

Without Value and constant and additional restriction in Missouri if someone says: WE ARE GOING TO ERADICATE HOGS IN MISSOURI – I will say it if you won’t – YOU ARE A IGNORANT OF THE FACTS!!!

With home ranges in Missouri on Average 5,000 plus acres and up to 13,000 plus acres by MDC own research and by wild hog reports in my area covering 80,000 plus acres, you will never have enough traps, enough people or be able to move traps enough for a one method approach.

Stick you head in the sand. Let the Media tell you how to think. Let Jefferson City tell you they are the ONLY solution.

WHEN they already tell landowners, that they cannot bait for feral hogs and deer or turkey hunt that same section of land.

WHERE they cannot kill feral hogs. Missouri Department of Conservation Land, Corp of Engineers Land, State Parks, LAD Foundation and very soon Mark Twain National Forest. Over 2 million acres of Southern Missouri Feral Hogs will be protected from hunters.

Set for February of 2020.

WHO can kill feral hogs with the new regulation in December they will decide, IF a Landowner QUALIFIES to kill feral hogs on PRIVATE land at night, and if landowners representatives will get written authorization with a certain type of weapons. Set for February of 2020.

Private land – For the first time getting a sounder on camera. For years it was just an occasional loner passing through, usually big males. Never stuck around long. This is new. This could become a problem quickly. Missouri does this sound like the problem is getting worse or better?

Research proves in and out of Missouri that Hog dogs are must have tool in the tool box to control hogs in Missouri.

Successful Wild Pig Eradication Utilize Trained Dogs You might want to read the research already done, 1989, 1995, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2010

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is in the business of providing research-based information, and the research continues to affirm the validity of trained dogs among the tools in our wild pig management toolbox.

I am currently unaware of a single successful wild pig eradication study that did not utilize trained dogs in some form; whether through hunting drives, tracking or through direct pursuit and capture

Shannon County, Missouri – Does the FAKE NEWS, LIES, or SELF-SERVING PROPAGANDA ever stop coming out of Jefferson City, Missouri?

Over 15 years Feral Hogs have been in Shannon County,

Missouri 3 DAYS – Photos are from Feral Hog Wallows and Rooting as far as your willing to walk in this area of Shannon County. Does this look like MISSOURI the SELF-PROCLAIMED NATIONAL MODEL OF FERAL HOG ERIDCIATION?

Sara Parker Pauley – Director of the Missouri Department of Conservation 4 DAYS - Stated that on October 11th, 2019 - Feral Hogs have RECENTLY Appeared on Mark Twain National Forest in Southern Shannon County. HMMM – REALLY “RECENTLY”

10 MONTHS - Peck's Ranch (Shannon County) – Feral Hogs still exist – Has to be the most watched Conservation Area in Missouri since Elk have been introduced in 2011 Missouri. January 1st, 2019
"Photos show hog rooting on Peck Ranch CA the Elk collar was in hog rooting"

1 YEAR & 9 MONTHS - February 1st, 2018 – Pecks Ranch (Shannon County) hunters looking for shed antlers, witnessed lots of hog damage on some food plots, three hog traps where set and over the ridge saw big black hog.

I never posted this but now is the time.

LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD BY THE FERAL HOGS OF MISSOURI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happens when a 1 to 2 year old wild hog is educated by MDC & USDA traps.

This is a test on camera of a wild hog that has come thru this corner from MDC conservation ground since September and then two days before.

Other cameras show hog blow under fence 40 yards away and running away from area over 100 yards away. Took hog two months before it would use corner again.

Instead it destroyed a 4 foot field fence in multiple location to enter property.

But when you add corn and sweet feed to the ground - He will not enter.

Human scent is not a issue because it rained two inches the day before.

This is after 34 days of USDA and 6 bags of corn within 30 yards of this spot with no hogs coming near it in Nov and Dec.

This is after Jan, Feb, Mar of corn and ever hog bait known to man with no hogs coming near it.

Trapping wild hogs is a tool and must be used but is not a solution. In some cases can actually create smart hogs.

Even the NO. 1 Hog Trapping company in the United States had to use other methods to kill hogs in a research project because all hogs could not be trapped, so they used thermals.

MDC & USDA traps are 90% to 100% effective is a lie. MDC & USDA uses human activated traps - Half Truths.

MDC & USDA catches Whole sounders - Half Truths.

People of Missouri Report

I have no way to prove this. But I was Bowhunting in the Irish wilderness December of 2018 and I saw a group of 4 large hogs and 3 piglets running through the woods.

This was on the Oregon/Ripley County line.

I got down from my stand to head to the truck at dark when I just so happened to hear them rooting around between me and the truck, still a 1/4 mile away.

I figured they would scatter as I got closer but no. I saw their eyes and their jaws started snapping and the bigger pigs started charging at me.

I dropped my climber stand and bow and started running.

They chased me for a good 100 yards before they turned around. It was terrifying, thought I would share this with you.
