WILD HOGS IN MISSOURI ATTACK HOMEOWNERS PETS

Picture

!!!!BREAKING NEWS!!!! – April 3rd, 2019 –

Wild Hog in Southeast Missouri attacked homeowners’ pets in Wayne County, Missouri.

NOW MISSOURI PETS are at risk in Missouri as the Missouri Wild Hog Crisis now reaches homeowners north of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

As the homeowner’s pet dogs played outside, they could hear the two Boston Terrier’s barking start YELPING IN PAIN - They grabbed a gun and ran outside. They found one Pet Boston Terrier cut up limping towards them. The other missing.

Then homeowner was charged by a Wild Hog coming out of the brush, he turned and shot it in head, it then turned away, wounded but still running in the direction of the Black River. The second Boston Terrier showed up later but no visible damage.

Luckily the Wild Hog only sliced the Boston Terrier back leg and was able to take to vet and get stitched up.

You won’t read or see this on any Missouri Main Stream Media, Agency or Lobbyist website, Facebook post, or opinion column. Because it does not fit the narrative of they are making progress or closing in on the feral hogs.

This now makes two different attacks in four months on dogs. First dog was not so lucky because it was, Ripped from the bottom of her ribs to her backbone hindquarters.

Just few examples of what your pets may face.

Welcome to the BROKEN SYSTEM in Missouri

WOW – Just got a call from Missouri Department of Conservation - Feral Hog Strike Team Leader about my Feral Hog Reports from December 21st, 2018 to April 1st, 2018.

*He asked if I was going to Turkey Hunt?

Yes

*Then will have to wait till turkey season is over because of the bait in trap and we be glad to come out and trap.

*Maybe you could NOT hunt part of your land, you have 80 acres correct?

Yes

*Then if you restrict your hunting to 40 acres would could still trap for your hogs because of bait. But we still must get approval from your Conservation Agent.

I have thousands of photos of them coming off Castor River Conservation Area.

*We still must wait for Turkey Season to be over, we don’t want to restrict the public from Turkey hunting on Public land.

I reported this back in September, October and November also.

*Yes, I now remember.

*Just like Deer season we must wait till season over.

*Let us know if you kill both your Turkeys then we can start trapping. We trapped some north of you this year.

Thanks for the call.

(1 1/2 months of no trapping on any public land in Southern Missouri during Turkey Season
(4 months of no trapping on any public land in Southern Missouri during Deer Season)(Wild Hog Refuge system in Missouri is working great to increase the population not so much on elimination)

WILD HOG ELIMINATION IN MISSOURI?

WHAT YEAR will the Elimination take place in Missouri. 2017 Mark Twain National Forest - Forest Report has up to 30,000 Wild Hogs in Missouri but MDC only killed 6,300 that is only 21 percent. Reproduction rate of 166% that means 19,000 piglets born in 2017.

MONEY - MONEY - MONEY

Feral Swine Farm Bill Provision Listening Session
April 5th, 2019

News from THE NATIVE HOG JOURNAL

APHIS Listening Session Webinar SHUT DOWN after only ONE HOUR!!

What was supposed to be a three-hour session of APHIS "listening" to the Public & Wild Hog stakeholders make comments about the Feral Hog Swine Bill Funding.
Government, Farm Agencies, Associations and Lobbyist all calling in and pontificating about how they needed MORE MONEY.

The meeting SHUT DOWN two hours early, and they all LINED UP with their hands out for Federal Money.

Cattleman's Assn thinks we should pay them to put up HOG FENCING on their ranches.
West Virginia Agent "has no hogs, but can we get some money too?",
Goat & Sheep Assn said “How do we get some of that fencing money?",

I Sent in my questions for the Feral Swine Farm Bill Provision Listening Session with no response.

Missouri is 93 percent private land, but 100% of the funds are going to the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Why are you not providing 93 percent of the landowners with funds to control the Wild Hog population?

Instead you providing funds and support to landowner that only control 7 percent of the land in Missouri. Which is the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Missouri Department of Conservation has a BROKEN SYSTEM and is prohibiting methods that are used in majority of the other states with Wild Hog Problem and are actually causing a increase to the Wild Hog Population.

Example – I have had to buy my own trapping, hunting supplies and electronics to fight Wild Hogs on my proeprty with no help from the State or USDA.

Feral hog hit, killed on I-55 in Cape Girardeau County

The now Famous I-55 WILD HOG, But not the last.

"April - 2019"

MDC Quote -  "Wild Hog was likely traveling on the diversion channel and was pushed into this area by flooding."

Now we can't have it both ways - So which is it.

"February - 2019"

MDC Quote “They’re definitely not migrating,” he said. “They’re either escapees or purposely released.”

Want to find out where they are actually migrating from. Just follow the rivers. Diversion Channel flowing from the Castor River and the Whitewater River and Crooked Creek directly into the Mississippi River just south of Cape Girardeau. Just follow the water ways.

THIS LITTLE PIGGY WENT NORTH

Picture

Nathan P. Snow, USDA/APHIS/WS/National Wildlife Research Center

Snow and his colleagues found that, during this period, the rate of northward expansion accelerated from 6.5 km/yr to 12.6 km/yr. (4 miles/year to 7.8 miles/year) If this trend persists, invasive wild pigs are predicted to reach most U.S. counties in 30-50 years, but likely faster if a southward expansion from Canada continues.

The results of the model showed that invasive wild pigs are most likely to expand their range into adjacent areas that are similar to the ones they currently occupy.
Missouri has the greatest average movement rates
&
The average home range size was greatest in Missouri.

We analyzed GPS data from individual pigs in studies across six states including Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, South Carolina, and Texas.

We obtained over 400,000 GPS locations of wild pigs from 13 different studies spanning six states in southern U.S.A., and quantified movement rates and home range size.

Missouri and Texas had the greatest average movement rates.

RIGHT or WRONG – Missouri or Alabama

MDC Feral Hog Coordinator Quote "There are also public health considerations, as feral hogs carry diseases that are not found in pork available in grocery stores."

So is The USDA Wildlife Services, your partner in the fight against feral hogs in Missouri wrong also?

So which Game and Fish Department is RIGHT or WRONG – Missouri or Alabama

Then in Alabama they make a video on how to field dress and butcher. Provided by the very same USDA Wildlife Services, along with Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Auburn University School of Forestry Wildlife Services, Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries and Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources

MISSOURI LETS WILD HOGS ROT

I am curious if Governor Parsons, Missouri Senate, Missouri House of Representatives. Director Sara Parker Pauly, and Missouri Conservation Commission feels that the 9,300 Wild Hogs killed in Missouri in 2018 left to rot is best for Kids, Families, Seniors that go hungry in America.
